Yes, our lottery permit are issued by the Western Australian Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor. The permit holder is Michael van Oudtshoorn, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer at Activ (a genU company)

- Who runs the Weekly Escape Lottery?

Activ Foundation (a genU company) run and manage all of our fundraising projects in-house, including the Weekly Escape Lottery, Car for a Cause Lottery and Better Odds Lottery.
- What is the relationship between the Activ Foundation and genU?

Activ has become part of genU marking a natural evolution rather than a rebrand. While the name has changed, the purpose, values, and passionate local teams remain the same. WA clients now benefit from expanded services and greater access to genU’s national network, continuing a shared legacy of over 150 years in disability support. Our mission for the lotteries remains the same, every ticket sold helps improve the lives of Australians living with disability.
- How old do I need to be to buy tickets?

You must be 18 or older to purchase a ticket. Tickets cannot be purchased in the name of a minor.
PAYMENT
- How will my payment appear on my bank statement?

Your ticket purchase will be listed as Activ Foundation on your credit card statement.
- How do I know my payment details are secure and private?

Activ (a genU company) have a privacy policy which can be reviewed at www.activ.asn.au/privacy/. All credit card details are secure using end to end encryption. Activ does not sell or share any personal data with any other third parties.
- How can I get a refund?

Requests for ticket refunds will need written approval from the Department of Racing, Gaming and Liquor and this process may take several weeks. Refunds cannot be issued after the prize draws have been completed .
- Can I be an anonymous winner?

It is a condition of entry that prize winners agree to have their name, suburb and photo published for publicity purposes. We include this condition to ensure high levels of transparency and trust.
- When will the prize draws take place?

Prize draws will take place every Tuesday at 10am (AWST)

- Where will the prize draws take place?

The prize draws will take place at Activ Foundation (a genU company) Head Office in Wembley.
- How will I know if I’ve won a prize?

A representative from Activ (a genU company) will call and email all prize winners directly.
- When will the winners be published online?

Prize winners will be published on www.weeklyescapelottery.com.au within 48 hours after the prize draws have been completed.
- Where do the proceeds go?

All proceeds from our lotteries help Activ (a genU company) improve the lives of thousands of Australians living with disability, by providing vital services, life-changing care and accommodation. We can’t do what we do without your support! Thank you for making a life-changing difference.
- Are lottery tickets tax deductible?

No, current ATO guidelines do not allow for charitable lottery tickets to be claimed as a tax deduction.
