The Weekly Escape Lottery is operated by genU (ABN: 74 614 366 031) to raise funds for the delivery of genU’s services including disability support, senior services, allied health, employment social enterprises and training.

Assuming all tickets are sold; 1 ticket has a 1 in 50,000 chance of winning the Grand Prize.

The following people are prohibited from purchasing a ticket:

• genU Board members and their family members residing at the same address,
• Executive Managers and their family members residing at the same address,
• ticket fulfilment staff including employees associated with the lottery and their family members residing at the same address.
• People below 18 years of age.

Ticket purchasers cannot purchase a ticket under another name, or for a minor. There is no limit on how many tickets a participant may purchase.

genU Management reserves the right in its sole discretion to refuse a purchase from anyone not acting in genU’s best interest, without notice or explanation.

A valid ticket holder is eligible to participate in the Weekly Escape Lottery and win a prize in accordance with these terms and conditions. By purchasing a ticket online, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Winners are responsible for claiming their prize. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as advertised. All prize winners will be notified in writing and by phone. Where genU is unable to contact a winner or any prize remains unclaimed, the requirements of the applicable state legislation will be followed.

The total retail value of the prize pool is $5,000.

The maximum number of tickets in the draw is 50,000. All tickets are $2.

Refunds cannot be issued after the prize draws have begun. In accordance with Australian consumer law, genU is not obligated to provide a refund for any ‘change of heart’ decisions related to the purchase of a ticket.

The draw results and records held by genU shall be deemed correct and final. genU accepts no responsibility for any entries not received for any reason during the lottery period. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries. All information contained in entries is the property of genU.

Overseas non-Australian citizens or residents must check in their own country that there are no restrictions on them purchasing a ticket in the draw.

GRAND PRIZE:

The Grand Prize winner will receive a holiday for two to Langkawi, Malaysia valued at $5,000, including return flights departing from Australia, and accommodation. Arrangements between the prize supplier and the Grand Prize winner will commence immediately following the draw.

If the destination is an international destination, the winner must hold a valid passport at the time of travel. If the winner does not possess a valid passport, it is their sole responsibility to obtain one at their own expense. Likewise, if a visa is required to enter the destination country, it is the responsibility of the winner to organise and pay for the necessary visa. genU and the prize supplier accept no responsibility for the winner’s failure to obtain appropriate travel documentation.

Winners must book their holiday within 3 months of the prize draw and complete travel within 12 months. Any requests to modify or negotiate alternative travel arrangements must be made directly between the winner and the prize supplier. genU will not be involved in or be responsible for any such negotiations.

The total prize value is based on flights departing from Perth, Australia, traveling August/September 2026. All pricing is determined by the prize supplier and may vary based on availability, departing airport or external factors at the time of booking.
